What is therapy and how does it work?

Some people believe it looks similar to the movies/media where you lay down and talk. However, therapy is about assessment, this is where we understand your needs/goals. How long does therapy last?

Everyone’s therapeutic treatment may differ depending on the needs. However, it can be as short as 5-8 sessions or a bit longer depending on the frequency, care provided, and the approach taken for longer-term support.

 

What type of issues can therapy help me with?

Therapy can address a wide range of issues including: anxiety, panic attacks, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, grief, stress, life transitions, personality disorders, and family dynamics or issues.

 

What is a MFT-Intern?

An MFT -Intern is a professional in the process of obtaining full licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT). The therapist has completed a master’s in marriage and family therapy or a related field and are gaining supervised clinical experience required for full licensure.

 

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes, we offer both in person and virtual sessions to accommodate your preference and needs.

 

Do you offer a sliding scale fee?

Yes, A sliding scale is any amount below the therapist’s full fee, some may call it a discounted rate. We offer a sliding scale as low as $80 on a short-term basis this is based on evidence of need and availability.

 

Do you take insurance? What form of payment is accepted?

At this time, we do not take insurance. We accept all forms of credit cards, debit cards, and cash.
